Badge of Life is a national Non-Profit organization dedicated to supporting first responders' physical and psychological wellness. It was founded over a decade ago in response to the pressing need for psychological support, awareness, and training tailored to the first responder community. The job of first responders are stressful and dangerous, with a high probability of trauma exposure, which often takes an emotional and physical toll on the body. When untreated and unaddressed, the psychological and physical toll can lead to an increased likelihood of depression, suicide risk, PTSD, substance abuse, and other issues.
Badge of Life is committed to breaking the cycle and stigma surrounding mental health issues among first responders by promoting well-being, resiliency, and positive coping strategies. The organization provides training programs, workshops, and resources designed to raise awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and equip first responders with the tools and support they need to maintain their well-being.
At Badge of Life, we partner with law enforcement agencies nationwide, local businesses, universities, and multidisciplinary specialties to fulfill the agency's mission and vision. We partner with psychologists, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, medical doctors from multiple specialties, physician assistants, physical therapists, chiropractors, public health doctors, and many other experts who are passionate about helping first responders and advancing first responder wellness.
